SCT senior staff Winton Gale, Ken Mills and Yvette Heritage were honoured to present at the 10th MSTS Conference held in Pokolbin, NSW over the 5th – 7th November 2017.
The Mine Subsidence Technological Society is the key technical body for providing peer reviewed discussion, promotion and advancement of subsidence engineering in NSW. SCT are strong supporters of the MSTS – and this year Yvette Heritage (Board Member) and Ken Mills (Treasurer) assisted with review and preparation of proceedings.
Winton Gale addressed the conference as the Keynote Speaker, discussing the conference theme: Mine Subsidence: Adaptive Innovation for Managing Challenges.
Ken Mills presented his paper: Experience of Monitoring the Interaction between Ground Deformations and Groundwater above an Extracted Longwall Panel.
Yvette Heritage presented her paper: Validation of a Subsidence Prediction Approach of Combined Modelling and Empirical Methods.
