Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response
A message from SCT’s Managing Director 25 March 2020
Dear Colleagues, Clients and Business Partners
I am writing to you to outline the many necessary steps that SCT Operations has undertaken as the Covid-19 pandemic progresses. In these uncertain times, our approach has been to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, clients and broader community. In doing so, this will help us to ensure that we continue a “business as usual” model for our ongoing consulting and instrumentation business.
In addition to the government mandated social distancing, hygiene and other initiatives, I can confirm that SCT:
- Has a mobile enabled consulting and support staff network who have been deployed to work from home wherever possible. SCT are a global business with offices in Victoria, NSW, Queensland, New Zealand and China. We are used to remote operations and remote working and are well placed as Covid19 continues.
- Whilst we continue to work at both client sites and our offices in a risk managed way, all non-essential travel has been suspended and wherever possible tele-conferencing is being used to facilitate work activities.
- We maintain secure IT, VPN and cloud hosted platforms for our back-office and consulting software.
With regards to our instrumentation supply, SCT have a robust supply chain in place and have 100% ownership of manufacturing entities. We have developed isolation strategies within our business and have also identified additional personnel resources to provide both backup and redundancy.
Early in the pandemic, SCT established a Covid19 working group, we meet regularly and update strategy/actions and staff/client communications.
Finally, SCT is 100% owned by its staff and over the preceding 30 years of our business managed our way through a range of external threats including the GFC and the many commodity downturns. We look forward to working with your business in these difficult times and into the future.
