Jason Jamieson

Jason has over 7 years’ mining operation and geotechnical experience in underground longwall mines across the Bowen Basin. This experience includes technically challenging mining environments such as thin seam mining and overmining through longwall subsidence. Jason joined SCT in November 2020, working out of the Brisbane office, and is primarily involved in geotechnical characterisation and ground support design for underground coal mines.

Jason's skills include:

• Analysis of geological data and geotechnical characterisation of the underground mining environment.
• Ground support design, implementation and monitoring.
  
  
• Ground support optimisation studies and trials in both operational and technical contexts.
  
  
• Longwall face support performance and monitoring.
  
  
• Geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
  
  
• Risk management of strata hazards and development of principal hazard management plans.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Engineer Degree majoring in Mining and Geotechnical Engineering, from the University of Queensland.
